In die kommende Saison startet der SSV Lok Bernau mit dem amerikanischen Forward Isiah Small.
Und dabei ist der Name alles andere als Programm. Ganz im Gegenteil. Der Absolvent der Texas State University misst stattliche 2,03 m, die er in 3 Spielzeiten für die Texas State Bobcats auf der Position des Small Forwards ins Rennen warf.
Dabei erzielte er in seiner Senior Season durchschnittlich 11 Punkte, und 7,2 Rebounds pro Spiel bei einer Trefferquote von über 50 % aus dem Feld und knapp 30 % jenseits der 3-Punkte-Linie
Das spiegeln auch die lobenden Worte von Head-Coach Davide Bottinelli wieder.
„Isiah´s Spielart ist sehr vielfältig – er kann Dreier werfen aber auch den Korb attackieren und clevere Bewegungen ohne Ball einsetzen. Wir freuen uns auf die Zusammenarbeit mit ihm“
Und wie immer können wir unseren Trainer weder widersprechen noch dem etwas hinzufügen.

And the name is anything but program. Quite the opposite. The graduate of Texas State University measures a stately 6’8“, which he threw into the race in 3 seasons for the Texas State Bobcats at the position of small forward.
In doing so, he averaged 11 points, and 7.2 rebounds per game in his senior season while hitting over 50% from the field and nearly 30% from beyond the 3-point line
Head coach Davide Bottinelli’s words of praise reflect that.
„Isiah’s style of play is very versatile – he can shoot threes but also attack the basket and use smart moves without the ball. We are looking forward to working with him“
